Please share! Assalamu-Alaikum and Greetings ! For the past few years, the world has periodically seen erroneous information publicized about Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Muslims, and others who know the character of the prophet (s), very well recognize such messages as nothing but a propaganda and falsehood. To the Muslim believers, suffice it that the Lord of the worlds - Allah - chose Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to spread His message of guidance to entire humanity. As for non-Muslims, many examples abound where those who have taken the time to learn about the prophet, passionately defend and attest to his high morals and character. In the following, you can review two posts that were earlier posted on IqraSense.com but the events today necessitate another reminder for all. The first is a speech by one of the earlier Muslims who sought refuge during the prophet's time in a Christian King's country. In this speech, the Muslim (Jafar bin Abi Talib) tells the king about the message that Prophet Muhammad (s) brought to them. This is a must read because the words delivered many centuries ago are as valid today as they were at the time when Muslims were being persecuted for following the message of the prophet. The other post reviews the last sermon of the prophet (SAW) that he gave during his last pilgrimage to Makkah. That message very succinctly captures the essence of Islam. That sermon, too, is equally valid today and should be read by all. Even if you have read these speeches before, they serve as an excellent reminder about the prophet (s)' character and about the message of Islam. You are also encouraged to share BOTH of these speeches with non-Muslims so they, too, can see beyond the propaganda that lurks on the Internet air waves. Of all the hours that we spend daily browsing the Internet, we have a duty to take a few minutes to spread the truth. (Click on the links below to read both the speeches related to Prophet Muhammad (S). Finally, one of the ways we can show respect to the prophet is by fashioning our character on the morals that the prophet (s) taught us. On the other hand, when we show conduct that is uncecoming of a Muslim, we risk tainting the perception of the message of mercy and kindness that the prophet (SAW) brought for the whole humanity. Unfortunately, this has become quite common today and we have a duty to correct ourselves and speaking against such misguided conduct. Click on the links below to read the speeches related to the prophet (s). Don't forget to read both messages. As always, please don't forget to share this post on Facebook, Twitter or E-mail it to others who may benefit from it. |
