| The Holy Prophet Muhammed Salalaahu Alaihi wasallam said I was the first of the Prophets to be created and the last one to be sent. Narrated from Abu Hurayra by Tammam al-Razi in his Fawa'id (4:207 §1399); al-Tabarani in Musnad al-Shamiyyin (4:34-35 §2662); and Abu Nu`aym in Dala'il al-Nubuwwa (p. 42 §3); also narrated mursal from Qatada by al-Tabari in his Tafsir (sub 33:7) and with the wording the first of the people by Ibn Sa`d in his Tabaqat (1:124) The Holy Quraan {And when We exacted a covenant from the Prophets, and from you (O Muhammad) and from Nuh and Ibrahim and Musa and `Isa son of Maryam. We took from them a solemn covenant} Quraan Shareef (33:7) . Al-Qurtubi said: Qatada said that the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said: 'I was the first of the Prophets to be created and the last one to be sent;' and this is the reason he was mentioned first in this verse before Nuh and others. The Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) himself gave the above explanation by pronouncing the above hadith after reciting verse 33:7. Then he added: Thus the sequence began with me ahead of them (Ibn Abi Hatim, Tafsir 10:3116, sub Q 33:7) The whole world and creation of Adam was created for the Holy Prophet Muhammed Salalaahu Alaihi wasallam, except he was not brought from Adam's progeny yet . and even before he was created as a human being, he was the most beloved of Allah , and the Kalima with his name along with the name of Allah was present on the throne of Arsh Narrated by 'Umar bin al-Khattab(may allah be pleased with him) Allah's Messenger said: When Adam committed the error, he submitted (to Allah): O Lord, I beg You to forgive me through the mediation of Muhammad(may peace be upon him). Then Allah said: O Adam! How did you recognize Muhammad(may peace be upon him) as I have not created him yet( as a human being )? He replied: O Lord, when You created me with Your divine hand and breathed Your soul into me, I raised my head and saw 'lailaha illallahu Muhammad-ur-rasulullah (there is no god but Allah, Muhammad(may peace be upon him) is Allah's Messenger)' inscribed on each pillar of the Throne. I discovered that with Your name, the name of only such a person can be associated who is Your most beloved of all the creatures. At this Allah said: O Adam, you have said it correctly. Of all the creatures I love him the most. Now when you offered your prayer through his mediation, I forgave you. And if Muhammad(may peace be upon him) were not there, I would not have created even you. The tradition was transmitted through many chains and was related by Bayhaqi in Dala'il-un-nubuwwah (5:489); Tabarani in al-Mu'jam-ul-awsat (7:259#6498) and al-Mu'jam-us-saghir (2:82-3) Haythami stated it in Majma'-uz-zawa'id (8:253); Ibn 'Asakir in Tahdhib tarikh Dimashq al-kabir generally known as Tarikh/Tahdhib Ibn'Asakir (2:359-60); Ibn Kathir, al-Bidayah wan-nihayah (1:131; 2:291-2); Ibn Hajar Haythami in al-Jawhar-ulmuazzam(p.61);.
