This role is to work on the Al-Khafji project in Saudi Arabia/Kuwait.
Responsibilities
The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) will operate within the PMT project team environment. The Lead Civil
Structural Engineer (Offshore) may have senior and engineer grade offshore civil/structural personnel under their
supervision and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support
personnel. The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) shall be in charge of the following tasks:-
During Project Management and Control Phase:
Is responsible for input to Scope Control
Prepares Civil/Structural packages
Participates in the preparation of Project Schedule
Provides input into Cost Forecasting
Provides input into the Progress Monitoring and Control
Participates in Quality Management control
Provides and promotes Transfer of Technology
Provides proper reports for Civil/Structural work
Prepares and makes presentation to Project Management.
During Tender Phase:
Participates in tender preparation as required.
Attends pre-bid conferences as required.
Provides evaluation and analysis in regards to tenders as required.
During Design Phase:
Is responsible for Design criteria, drawing standards and conventions, and design guidelines
Is responsible for existing design data, drawings, and specifications
Holds Engineering Standards, Material and Performance Specifications, and Vendor Lists.
Reviews all drawings, standards, specifications, Engineering Estimates, and Bills of Quantity
Inspects and audits the progress and performance of the Civil/Structural Design Contractors.
Provides input into the pre-qualification and selection of suppliers of materials and equipment.
During Construction Phase:
Procurement support and expediting support for materials and equipment
Quality Management support during construction
Attends periodic meetings with the Construction Contractors as required
Ensures the company and Government regulations are followed
Assistance and support to companyParticipates in the development and implementation of operation and maintenance procedures.
Reviews and checks the as-built drawings.
Organisation Interface:
PMS Interface
The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) will report to the FEED/Technical Core Manager, if serving in the Core Technical team, or to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer if serving within the PMT Teams. The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) will manage the output of senior or engineer grade personnel working under his authority and will liaise with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams as appropriate to his area of service.
Client Interface
Client reporting interface shall be via the FEED/Technical Core Manager for Technical Core Team service, or via the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer for PMT service
Senior Project Manager (Offshore)
Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia
This role is to work on the Al-Khafji project in Saudi Arabia/Kuwait.
Responsibilities
The Senior Offshore Project Manager is responsible for managing the PMT Project Heads who provide PMS services for
the offshore projects.
The Senior Offshore Project Manager will be in charge of the following tasks:
During Project Pre-Tender Phase:
Provide direct management for and input into:
Program Execution Review and Recommendations
Project Management Plan Development and Implementation
Baseline Implementation Plan
Project Management and Control Procedures
Ensuring implementation of Scope Control for all onshore projects.
Cost and Schedule procedures.
During Tender Phase:
Provides close PMS management oversight for and input into:
Eligibility of the bidders
Tender conditions, and preparation of tender and contract documents for construction
Pre-bid conferences
Evaluation and analysis, and recommendation in regards to tenders
During Design Phase:
Manage the Project Heads to ensure they provide PMT services for:
Ensuring the application of Design criteria, drawings standards and conventions, and design guidelines on
all onshore projects.
Project administration and coordination of onshore contractors.
Ensuring existing design data, drawings and specifications are available for onshore consultants/contractors
Coordination of the review of all drawings, standards, specifications, lists and calculations, Engineers
Estimates and Bills of Quantity
Coordination of the reporting the reporting of progress, performance, and resource allocation by the design
Consultants/Contractors.
Periodic and Design Review Meetings.
During Construction Phase:
Manage the Project Heads to ensure they provide PMT services for:
Coordination of pre-construction conferences, briefings, and presentations.
Project coordination, control, and contract administration.
Periodic meetings with the Construction Contractors, and Construction Review Meetings.
Organisation Interface:
PMS Interface
Senior Offshore Project Coordinator will report to the Project Director and will manage PMT team Project Head/SPE. He will liaise with the various sections of the Core team.
Client Interface
The Senior Offshore Project Coordinator will primarily liaise with Superintendents and PMT Project Managers as appropriate
