Drive On Every week day most of us drive back and forth to work. Sometimes we are hampered by some others selfish quirk. They'll pull right out in front of you then hit their brakes to slow... instead of waiting till you've passed they feel it's right to go. The cell phone is another tool the devil uses really well. When that car in front is lagging you can usually tell. You can see one hand held tightly pressed against their ear. Oblivious to all around them what they're thinking isn't clear. Hang up and drive!! You'd like to tell them; maybe they'll read lips. You could think of more to say, concisely worded quips. Then there is the tourist trying to read a map and drive. You should pray that they get there in one piece and alive. Don't you recognize him? He's tempting you with sin. He'll try every opening until you let him in. Those angry thoughts you're thinking on your way to your house, May result in disagreements with your own dear spouse. Don't let his urgings cause you to mutter and complain. He'll fill your mind with angry thoughts, but "you" must then refrain. We must learn to realize his promptings are all wrong. If we just tell him to, get lost... he won't be there for long. He'll try to aggravate you with other drivers that are rude. They'll cut you off, and wave "one" finger... to crush your attitude. You must learn to laugh it off. It's really best for you. They're either saying you're number one, or indicating their "IQ". All in all it's quite unnerving and can lead to excess stress. Just make your mind up to relax and dive into that mess. You'll get there and feel much better when you do arrive. You just have to settle down... relax and pray... then drive. ¶Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20 |
