Abdullah bin abbas radi alaho anho se rivayat hai mujh se Ek ansaari sahabi ne bayan kiya ki wo raat ko rasoollallah sallallho alaihey wsallam ke saath baithey thyey itney mein ek sitara toota aur bahut chamka Aap sallallho alaihey wsallam ne farmaya tum jahiliyat ke zamaney mein kya kahtey they jab aisa waqia hota tha unhoney kaha allah aur uska Rasool sallallho alaihey wsallam khub jantey hain lekin hum jahiliyat ke zamaney mein yun kahtey aaj koi bada shaksh paidahua hai ya mara hai rasoolallah sallallho alaihey wsallam ne farmaya taara kisi ke marney ya paida honey se nahi toot ta balki jab hamara rab tabarak wa taala jab koi hukm deta hai to arsh ke uthaney waley farishtey tasbeeh kahtey hain phirunki aawaz sun kar unkey paas aasman waley tasbeeh kahtey hain yahan tak tasbeeh ki nobat duniya ke aasman walon tak pahunchti hai phir jo arsh uhtaney waley farishton se kareebhain wo unsey puchtey hai kya hukm diyatumharey maalik ne ? wo bayan kartey hain is tarah aasman waley ek dusrey se dariyaft kartey hain (puchtey hain)yahan tak ki wo khabar duniya ke aasman walon tak paunchti hai unsey wo khabar jinn uda lete hain aur apney doston ko aakar sunatey hain farishtey jab un jinno ko dekhtey hain to unhey taron se martey hain (to ye taary unkey kodey hain) phir jo khabarjinn latey hain agar utni haikahi to sach lekin wo jhoot milatey hain usmein aur jiyada kartey hain

English Translation:
'Abdullah. Ibn 'Abbas reported: A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) reported to me: As wewere sitting during the night with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a greatman had been born and a great man had died, whereupon Allah'sMessenge r (may peace be upon him) said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in theheaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinnthey attack them with meteors. Ifthey narrate only which they manage to snatchthat is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it.
