[Yaadein_Meri] Ruling on Those Who Say Ahadith are Unreliable and Hell is Temporary

Ruling on Those Who Say Ahadith are Unreliable and Hell is Temporary
By Mufti Taqi Uthmani
Question:
What do the scholars say regarding the following issues:
1) There are some people in our area who hold the aqeedah that all the ahadith present in
these times cannot be trusted upon and should be burnt.
2) They also hold the aqeedah that Jannah is everlasting but Jahannum is temporary and after
a while all the mushrikeen and kuffaar will enter Jannah. They derive the evidence from the
hadith Inna Rahmatee Sabaqat Ghadhbee (Verily my mercy superceeds my anger). They also
use Mawlana Shibli Nu'mani's book "Seeratun Nabi" to corrupt the minds of the layman.
Please advice whether their aqeedah is in accordance to the shari'ah or not?
Answer:
The aqaa'id noted above are severely deviant.

The first aqeedah that the entire collection of hadith is unreliable is kufr afterwhich a person is
thrown out of the fold of Islam.
There is fear of kufr in the second aqeedah as well.
Friendly relations should not be kept with any person who holds such aqaa'id until he repents
and corrects his way.
