This documentary is an attempt to depict the reality of the sufferings and the upheaval caused in the lives of the innocent accused for carrying out the mecca masjid blast. All the accused who were from a particular community were pitted against the political and bureaucratic nexus in order to exhibit their efficiency and promptness in dealing with crimes and acts of terror. The Indian media was also partly responsible for the suffering of the innocent people in order to grab viewers' eyeballs by naming them as culprits without a trial or investigation and the lack of judicial evidence. Unless our investigating procedures are made systematic not symptomatic and governed by humane processes as prescribed by our constitution there is little hope for these excesses being stopped which we broadly classified as collateral damage.

Makkah Masjid bomber arrested by NIA

Ujjain, December 25:

The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has arrested the man said to be have planted the bomb at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad in May 2007 that killed more than 13 people.

Tej Ram Parmar, 25, was arrested from Ujjain in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. He is a driver by profession, police said.

He is believed to be a member of Abhinav Bharat, the same group believed to be behind the Samjhauta Express blast which claimed 68 lives on February 18, 2007.

Nine people were killed in the blast during Friday prayers at the historic Mecca Masjid on May 18, 2007. Five more people were killed in police firing on protesters outside the mosque after the blasts.

Earlier this month, the NIA had arrested two men - Dhan Singh and Rajinder Chaudhary - in connection with the Samjhauta Express blast case.

Samjhauta, Mecca Masjid bomb planter arrested

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested key right-wing terror accused Rajendra Pehelwan alias Samandar, the alleged bomb planter in Samjhauta Express train and Mecca Masjid of Hyderabad.

He was arrested from Nagda in Ujjain district of MP. "In the

initial interrogation, Rajendra has accepted that he planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Samjhauta train and Meeca Masjid in Hyderabad. He was active in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Hatod of Madhya Pradesh," a source said.

Investigators believe that Rajendra's further questioning can lead them to a senior functionary of RSS who has been under scanner of the agency in connection with the larger conspiracy to carry out bomb blasts in mosques and places frequented by Muslims in retaliation of jehadi terrorism. The senior RSS functionary runs many outfits in Jammu.

Sunil Joshi, an RSS pracharak and the kingpin of gang of right-wing extremists that planted bombs all over India, had taken Rajendra to Jammu for training in 2006.

Since Joshi was murdered in mysterious circumstances in December 2007, Rajendra's interrogation can lead investigators to the role played by the senior RSS functionary.

Witnesses have told investigators that Rajendra was missing from native place for eight to nine months in 2006. This time coincides with his alleged training period in Jammu.

The NIA has alleged that Rajendra along with three more accused - Kamal Chauhan, Lokesh Sharma and Amit alias Ashwini Chauhan - planted four IEDs in Samjhauta Express on February 18, 2007 killing 68 people, most whom were Pakistanis.

The NIA was looking for him for the last two years. But his active hunt started after arrest of Kamal Chauhan in February this year who told investigators that Rajendra was one of the bomb planters.

Besides the Samjhauta train, Rajendra is also alleged to be a Mecca Masjid bomb planter.
