If you store your files on Internet, you can easily access them from anywhere in the world. Since most of the people are now using smart phones (android, blackberry, iPhone), they can see, open and edit all of their files from anywhere and can also share those files with their friends anytime. (of course, you just need an Internet connection on your mobiles to do that). Anyhow, I am kinda fanboy of Google's Google Drive and Dropbox, which are quite an awesome Online File Storage Services. Both of these services are enough for anyone to use it in order to store their files on Internet.
