Interpretation of meaning in Urdu

Umm Salama (RaziAllahu Anha) se rewayet hay ki,
Rasool-Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshaad farmaya,

"Jab tum Dhu'l-Hijjah ke naye chand ko dekho,
aur tum mein se koi qurbani ka iradah rakhe,
to ussko chahiye ki  (qurbani karaane tak)
baal aur naakhun katwaane se ruka rahe."

(Sahih Muslim)

Interpretation of meaning in English

It was narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her)

that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"When you see the new moon of Dhu'l-Hijjah,

and one of you wants to offer a sacrifice,

let him refrain from removing anything
from his hair or nails."

(Sahih Muslim)

Interpretation of meaning in Urdu

Ek doosri rewayet ke mutabiq,

"Jis kisi ko bhi Qurbani karani ho,
Jab Maah-e-Dhu'l-Hijjah shuru ho jaaye,
wo apne baal aur nakhun mein se
kuchh bhi na katwaaye
jab tak ke wo qurbani na kara le."

(Abu Dawood, Muslim and al-Nasaai)

According to a version narrated by

Abu Dawood, Muslim and al-Nasaai:

"Whoever has a sacrifice to offer,

when the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah begins,

let him not remove anything
from his hair or nails

until he has offered the sacrifice"

Our Lord! grant us good in this world
and good in the hereafter,
and save us from the chastisement of the fire.
