June 30, the first riders of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train
pulled out from the Beijing South Railway Station, bound for Shanghai .

With a designed speed of 350 km, the maximum speed attained was 300 km in initial operations.
Trains are divided into first-class car,s second-class cars, dining cars, business cars and VIP tourists areas.
To meet the special requirements of passengers, there are dedicated disabled riding areas, wheelchair accessible bathrooms and corridors.
The initial operation, plans to offer daily operations with EMU trains arranged in 90 pairs.
The shortest time from Beijing to Shanghai at the highest speed is 4 hours and 48 minutes.
The full fare: second class seat - 555 yuan, first class seat - 935 yuant, seat, and tourist / first class packages are 1750 yuan.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Currently, a team of 90 conductors, and other 313 crew are deployed on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail section.
