| Wa ley kum salam. Brother. In rules and laws there can not be best or good or bad. It could either be right or wrong. T question you have posed is not very difficult. Yesterday I happened to your request and a brother from the group replied to you: Go to a Mufti specializing in the laws of distribution of heritence. That is the best and right reply. However as a muslim and as I have studied surah # 4: An-Nisa. I understand the reply to your question as under: For male sibling the part is twice of that of a female sibling. Now you are three brothers makes it six shares and on sister makes it one share, so total there are seven shares. Now devide cash amount by seven the result will be one share. Now for each brother multiply this share by two so the result will share of one brother. The seventh share will be of your sister. Regarding property: Appoint one of honest brother from among yourselves otherwise appoint an arbitrator by the common consensus of all the siblings. Now appoint one broker for each property and obtain the best sales value of that property then devide the values by seven - the result will be two shares for each brother and one share for sister. Now if a brother wants to retain the property he must pay the other two brothers & the sister the amounts of their respective shares other wise despose off the property and everybody must get his share prescribed above OR apply to the proper athority to distribute the land or house or whatsoever it is. This will result only in dispute among brothers and sister. For example there are three bed rooms. O.K each brother one bed room but what about the share of sister? If you have five acres of cultivable land you can devide them and get alloted your share in your name - but who will look less then one acre land? - you can get this property alloted in your name and one brother may take responsibility - that is better idea. When crop is disrtibuted you can devide the quantity in seven shares. Two share for each brother ano one share for sister. Now I am not a Mufti but you should verify my deliberation by a mufti - so you will be safe from any wrong suggestion that I have forwarded with all my sincerity.
