Twin minarets
Çifte Minareli Medrese is an architectural monument of the late Seljuk period in the Turkish city of Erzurum. Built as a theological school a few years before 1265,
it takes its name, Twin Minaret Madrasa, from the two fluted minarets that crown the monumental façade.
Üç Kümbetler-Three tombs
The Mausoleum of Emir Saltuk (1081-1102) is the largest and most unusual in a complex of three tombs just south of the walled city of Erzurum.
The owners of the two other tombs are unknown.

The first fortification at this site was probably built in Urartian times. Throughout history Erzurum changed hands frequently between the Assyrians, the Sassanids, Persians, Arabs, Romans and Byzantines.
The present castle however was built in 415 AD under the Byzantine Emperor Theodosius II.

Nene Hatun Tomb
Nene Hatun (1857 – 22 May 1955) was a Turkish folk heroine, who at her age of twenty showed bravery during the recapture of Fort Aziziye in Erzurum from Russian forces at the start of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878.
