Because of this fact, hackers, marketing companies, web developers, bloggers etc are taking the advantage and using Shorten URLs in order to hide the real identity of the website which you will be redirected to once you click that link. Because of the increase in Internet and Email attacks, we discussed in detail what are Shorten URLs and what you should be aware of. We also discussed how you can protect yourself from clicking suspicious links using WOT ratings. After understanding the basics, now it's important to know how we can investigate the links hidden inside Shorten URLs.
There are many online services and methods available on Internet, which allows you to see the links hidden behind these Shorten URLs. In this article we will see how you can use some famous and reliable online websites to reveal the hidden links inside these Shorten URLs and can also find out some extra information related to that link.
Note : The advantage of using website / online service to reveal the hidden link behind Shorten URL is that you don't have to install any add-on or extension in your browser and secondly, you can use any browser to visit below websites and to expand the shorten URLs.

When you see these shorten URLs, it's hard to identify where it will lead to. You shouldn't click the links blindly just because one of your friend has send it to you. There are unlimited amount of scammers, malwares, viruses, hackers are ready to target innocent people like you. To make the long story short, it's always recommended to preview / investigate the Shorten URLs before clicking them to avoid any kind of trouble.
There are many online services and methods available on Internet, which allows you to see the links hidden behind these Shorten URLs. In this article we will see how you can use some famous and reliable online websites to reveal the hidden links inside these Shorten URLs and can also find out some extra information related to that link.

To explain you in a better way, I used a Shorten URL which I received in an Email. (see below)
As you can see that the subject of the email is something else, which doesn't match with the body contents. And it also contains a Shorten link which looks suspicious to me, so I thought why not use this link as an example for this article and see what's hidden behind this Shorten Link. (please note that my intentions were not to see the HOT SINGLES behind this link :p).
