On Wednesday, 06th Feb 2013, We came across an incident in HARA my friends son 10yr old was molested by a maulvi and little boy came out of drawing room crying for long time with a fear and shame. By the time boy explained about the incident happened with him, maulvi was left. While teaching Quraan this maulvi beat and scolded the boy for unnecessary reasons and then he tried to put the hand of kid on his private parts and pressurize kid to do shameless acts. However the brave boy released himself from maulvi but was under fear and psychological disturbance.
We took immediate action and were lucky to trap this maulvi by going to other known person home where the same maulvi is suppose to visit after maghrib prayer to teach their kids.
Finally this blatant maulvi came and greeted, we caught him and interrogated about incident. He confessed the blunder and felt on feets of victims father asking forgiveness and was saying continuously shaytan bhatka diya tha… mujhe maaf kardo…..mai aaj ke baad kisi ke ghar padhane nahi jaunga… mai aisa kabhi nahi karunga…mai ye kaam chodh dunga etc. During interrogation, We were able to take his photo, video & scanned his iqama by mobile. Unfortunately, before we take serious action against him, he escaped.
This same maulvi was teaching in several other families and most of them stopped him because of his noxious behavior. After this incident everyone came up saying that they were having doubt on this maulvi as he was mischievous, touching, abusing by lifting his thope or tying knot of pyjama etc in front of their kid's boys & girls.
Please don't let such perverts enter your home; they are threat to your kids and your families. I have attached his iqama & photo for your awareness and action against him. In the meanwhile I will do my best to teach him good lesson and make sure he is kicked out of Saudi Arabia inshallah.

Regrettably, this is one incident of such abuse. However, a common denominator in such cases shows a daunting fear of notifying the parents. Child abuse is a severely traumatic experience as is, but when the abuser happens to be a person believed to be teaching faith and religion, the trauma accrued is exponential.
Usually children's let the abuse go on because they couldn't tell parents such things, they would automatically think kids were in the wrong or may be doing mistakes and blaming the Quran instructors as they are known as pious.
Parents should routinely ask children if they feel offended in any way by any one, because due to these kind of abuses kids may develop psychological problems associating the Quran with a feeling of shame and powerlessness".
If possible please print and stick this email in HARA so other families who dont check emails, can be aware of such perverts.
