[Yaadein_Meri] IS TAWASSUL NECESSARY?

 

THIS ARTICLE IS REPEAT BECAUSE TODAY AGAIN I HAVE RECEIVED ONE
MAIL & I HAVE POSTED IT REGARDING TAWASSUL -
I NEED TO CLARIFY MY POSITION & THEREFORE THIS ARTICLE IS REPEATED.

DO WE REALLY NEED TAWASSUL?

 

If anybody asks me :

What is my preference in belief?

Quran or Hadith (Sunnah)

My reply is/will be Qur'an is my first preference. Then the question arises what about Sunnah?

The Sunnah is Collection/s of Ahadith+ Seerah and all Ahadith quoted by Messerger pbuh are Wahi-e-Khafi. Therefore:  Al-Qur'an+ Sunnah= Al-Huda.

Surah #53 Najam  Tafseer Ibn Katheer – WAHII-E-KHAFI

﴿وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى - مَا ضَلَّ صَـحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى - وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى - إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ وَحْىٌ يُوحَى ﴾

(1. By the star when it goes down.) (2. Your companion has neither gone astray nor has he erred.) (3. Nor does he speak of desire.) (4. It is only a revelation revealed.)

 

Allah said,

﴿وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى ﴾

(Nor does he speak of desire), asserting that nothing the Prophet utters is of his own desire or wish,

﴿إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ وَحْىٌ يُوحَى ﴾

(It is only a revelation revealed.), means, he only conveys to the people what he was commanded to convey, in its entirety without additions or deletions. Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Umamah said that he heard the Messenger of Allah say,

«لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ لَيْسَ بِنَبِيَ مِثْلُ الْحَيَّيْنِ أَوْ مِثْلُ أَحَدِ الْحَيَّيْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَمُضَر»

(Verily, numbers similar to the two tribes, or one of them, Rabi`ah and Mudar, will enter Paradise on account of the intercession of one man, who is not a Prophet.) A man asked, "O Allah's Messenger! Is not Rabi`ah a subtribe of Mudar.'' The Prophet said,

«إِنَّمَا أَقُولُ مَا أَقُول»

(I said what I said.) Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin `Amr said, "I used to record everything I heard from the Messenger of Allah so it would be preserved. The Quraysh discouraged me from this, saying, `You record everything you hear from the Messenger of Allah , even though he is human and sometimes speaks when he is angry' I stopped recording the Hadiths for a while, but later mentioned what they said to the Messenger of Allah , who said,

«اكْتُبْ، فَوَ الَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا خَرَجَ مِنِّي إِلَّا الْحَق»

(Write! By He in Whose Hand is my soul, every word that comes out of me is the Truth.)'' Abu Dawud also collected this Hadith.

However more ahadith are dhaif then Hasan or Sahih that is because the protection of ahadith is not guaranteed by Allah s.w.t.- The people have corrupted Torah and Gospel

That were the Books of Alla. S.w.t  and we have before us a large volume of dhaif ahadith. Imam Bukhari had memorized about 500,000+ ahadith and Imam Muslim had similarly memorized more then 300,000 ahadith but each of the Imam chose only about  3000 ahadith as Sahih. We see that Sahih Al-Bukhari contains about 7000 +/- Ahadith but it is because 'same ahadith have been quoted thru different chains of narrators. Like wise is the case of Sahih Al-Muslim.

We have Saha Sitta + Sunan Imam Humbel. Any of the Imam from amongst these Imams has said about any Hadith that 'This Hadith is Sahih Hadith with my Isnad' then any/all Muslims must accept it as a sahih & as sahih as that of Imam Bukhari or Imam Mulsim. Now Sunan Imam Ibn Humbel contains 35 to 45 thousand ahadith. Altogether the number of ahadith available is 72,000+!!!( www.Hadithcollection.com) Containing Authentic – Hasan – Gharib – Wahid - Dhaif etc.

Had Allah s.w.t not  guaranteed the protection of Al-Qur'an from corruption – it would have been corrupted beyond recognition.

The purpose to send Rasulullah pbuh was to:

هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا

 

62/2. He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad ) from among themselves, reciting to them His A'yaat, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Qur'ân, Islâmic laws and Islâmic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship, etc. of Prophet Muhammad ). And verily, they had been before in mainfest error;

62/3. And He has sent him (Prophet Muhammad ) also to others among them (Muslims) who have not yet joined them (but they will come). And He (Allâh) is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

62/4. That is the Grace of Allâh, which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Mighty Grace.

48/ 28. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), that He may make it (Islâm) superior over all religions. And All-Sufficient is Allâh as a Witness.

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِؤُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ

هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ

 

8. They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the religion of Islâm, this Qur'ân, and Prophet Muhammad ) with their mouths. But Allâh will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).

9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâmic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammed ) hate (it).

 

Like the A'immah of hadith: The A'immah of Fiqah : Each had over 100,00  Ahadith by heart and they had studied 14 other Uuloom (14 other branches of Ilm-e-Deen) before they commenced  Ijtehad. Among the text books of Mufti's school is the one: 'SHAREA-E-WAQAYA'  I think most of those who are debating on internet might not have heard about it. If they will read it they will be totally confused. But Mufties are taught as to how to derive from it the basic law/s. Another example of these learned A'immah is: Imam Safeii a.r. who had to go thru whole of Al-Qur'an: 300 times!!! to solve a problem. Again it is my personal opinion  most of the debating people on the net might not have read Qu'ran Majeed 300 time through out their lives.(that includes me also)

 

 

Now Qur'an is Wahi-e-Jali: Its contents are as intact as they  were 1400 Years ago, when Qur'an was revealed; and its contents' security is provided by Allah s.w.t. Himself. 

SECURITY OF AL-QUR'AN: Surah # 15 Ayat # 9 – Protection of Al-Qur'an  from any Corruption:

9

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ





 

9. Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) .

Now what Al-Qur'an-ulMajeed wa Furqa'nulHameed says about supplications:

186

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

 

186. And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad ) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.

قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ وَأَقِيمُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ

فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلاَلَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاء مِن دُونِ اللّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

 

29. Say (O Muhammad ): My Lord has commanded justice and (said) that you should face Him only (i.e. worship none but Allâh and face the Qiblah, i.e. the Ka'bah at Makkah during prayers) in each and every place of worship, in prayers (and not to face other false deities and idols), and invoke Him only making your religion sincere to Him by not joining in worship any partner to Him and with the intention that you are doing your deeds for Allâh's sake only. As He brought you (into being) in the beginning, so shall you be brought into being (on the Day of Resurrection) [in two groups, one as a blessed one (believers), and the other as a wretched one (disbelievers)].

30. A group He has guided, and a group deserved to be in error; (because) surely they took the Shayâtin (devils) as Auliyâ' (protectors and helpers) instead of Allâh, and consider that they are guided.

ادْعُواْ رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ

وَلاَ تُفْسِدُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلاَحِهَا وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

 

55. Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors.

56. And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope; Surely, Allâh's Mercy is (ever) near unto the good­doers.

205

وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعاً وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ وَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ

 

 

205. And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.

قُلِ ادْعُواْ اللّهَ أَوِ ادْعُواْ الرَّحْمَـنَ أَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُواْ فَلَهُ الأَسْمَاء الْحُسْنَى وَلاَ تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاَتِكَ وَلاَ تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلاً

 

110. Say (O Muhammad ): "Invoke Allâh or invoke the Most Beneficent (Allâh), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names. And offer your Salât (prayer) neither aloud nor in a low voice, but follow a way between.

62

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَاء الْأَرْضِ أَإِلَهٌ مَّعَ اللَّهِ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

 

62. Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations. Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Little is that you remember

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ

هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاء الْحُسْنَى يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

 

22. He is Allâh, than Whom there is Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen (open). He is the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

23. He is Allâh than Whom there is Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allâh! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him.

24. He is Allâh, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names . All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

67

12

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ

وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ

 

12. Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

13. And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men).

14. Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything).

The Qualitative Names (Sifa'ti Naam) of Allah s.w.t  are about 135 as listed in ( Mazahir-e-Haq) Misqat Shreef out of which 99 names must be by heart by every Muslim who opts for Paradise.

Each Name has its significance  and one could supplicate with that particular Name which is closest to the needs of the supplicant or to solve the problem of the supplicant.

Like wise: Each Surah of Al-Quran  solves the problem not only that but the Ayaat are also solving the problems of supplicant/s.

The difference between Sulfi and (atleast ) Hanfi is that Sulfi demands:

Where is it in Hadith to  recite in this way or to recite such and such Ayaat or Surah or Qualitative name of Allah s.w.t.

Where as follower of Hunafi religion ( with in Deen-e-Islam) have catagories before them:

Haram

Makruh-e-Tehrima

Makruh ( as onion and garlic)

Mabah ( do it or do not do it makes no difference e.g to serve coffee or tea or juice makes no difference)

Mustahab

Mu'qidah

Wajib

Faradh

The Wirid or Wadhifa are the terminology for repeating so much times such and such name/s of Allah s.w.t. or such and such Ayat or Ayaat or such and such Surah & etc.

Some of them fall in the category of Mu'qidah such to say 100 time 'Sub'ahan Allah wa bi Hamdehi Sub'han Allahil Azeem' between Sunnat and Faradh in morning prayers. These words are easy on tongue but vey heavy in Weight in the Balance of Youme-e-Hisab.

Some of them fall in Mustahab: whenever you are hurt you say Inna-liLahi wa Inna alaihi Raje'oon

The others fall  in Mubah: It will benefit to the supplicant to solve his problem but if he does not opt for it nothing will be due on him.

Now coming to the Hadith about these Mubah:

Please read Sahih Al-Bukhari:  Book 70 & 71: Patients & Medicines

& Sahih Al-Muslim:  Book # 26 : Salutations and Greetings. The subject under  discussions will be avail able after about 50 Ahadith on Salutations and  Greetings  ( Must read Full book to see what ever is said here is correct.

We must not forget that there are very many Ahadith of Supplications & there are many Supplications in Qur'an for those who wish to remove any illness or trouble or fulfil his requirements (Haja't)

Last but not the least:

A person was wailing while holding the Ghilaf-e-Ka'ba & supplicating very sincerely but Hazoor pbuh said how will his supplications be accepted when his earnings are from(Haram): forbidden sources,(or ) forbidden acts (or)  forbidden professions

Now I do not understand where do we need Tawassul.

We need Intercession on the day of Judgmnt. And to obtain that we need to settle our lives according to instructions/Injections of Al-Qur'an + Sunnah.

 People go for Tawassul but finish up in Shirk-e-Jali: How?

I had two Murshads in Sisilah-e-Suharwrdia:

The one was  Barelvi:

They used to have weekly gathering and will do Khatam-e-Khwajgaan. Everything was good  or upto  tolerance  except: They would say

HAAL-E-MAA KHASTA DILA(N) ALLAH NIGAR

 AL-MADAD SHAIKH SHAHBUDDEEN UMAR

THE  OTHER SHAIKH WAS RENOUNED MUHADDITH

HAZRAT MAULANA YOUSUF LUDHYANVI SHAHEED RAHMATULLAH ALAIHI

HE WAS KHALIFA OF ALL THE FOUR WELKNOWN SALASIL.

He used to have majlis on Thurs day and will give lecture on Hadith

& daily after asr prayer will be Daura-e-Yaseen shreef in Masjid Al-Falah.

Next:

In the area where I  live:  In the month of Ghyarvi (n) Shareef

The Banners read various Shrikiya slogans including:

Allah kay waste Ya Ghouse-e-Azam –hum per bhi ngha-e-karam kar.

Now who is powerful Ghause or Allah s.w.t.? and their Uuloomah appreciate it
