BismillahirRahmanirRahim
AsSalaam Aalaikum WaRahamtullahi WaBarakatuhu all,
"Rabbi Zidni Ilma - My Lord! Increase me in knowledge"
Narrated Abu Musa (Radi Allahu anhu):
The Prophet (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) said, "The example of a believer who recites the Qur'an and acts on it, is like a citron which tastes nice and smells nice. And the example of believer who does not recite the Qur'an but acts on it, is like a date which tastes good but has no smell. And the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur'an is like Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an is like a colocynth which tastes bitter and has a bad smell."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 6:579
JazakAllah Khair.
Last week-end's Hadith:
Narrated Umar (Radi Allahu anhu):
Once I gave a horse in Allah's Cause (in charity) but that person did not take care of it. I intended to buy it, as I thought he would sell it at a low price. So, I asked the Prophet (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) about it. He said, "Neither buy, nor take back your alms which you have given, even if the seller were willing to sell it for one dirham, for he who takes back his alms is like the one who swallows his own vomit."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 2:567
