What Qur'an says regarding Parents?
| [4.Surah An-Nisaa : Ayah 36] |
"... And be good to the parents and to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the neighbor of (your) kin and the alien neighbor, and the companion in a journey and the wayfarer and those whom your right hands possess; surely Allah does not love him who is proud, boastful."

"Show kindness to your parents, and do not slay your children for (fear of) poverty-- We provide for you and for them."

"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour."
"And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up when I was little."

Special Du'a for Parents
Transliteration
"Rabbir ham huma
kama rabbayani sagheera."
"Aye mere Rabb!
In dono (mere waaldain) ke haal par
apni Rahemat farmaaiye;
jaise ki inhon ne bachpan mein
(shaf'qat se) meri parwarish ki thi."
( The Noble Qur'an: Surah-17 ~ Ayah-24 )
Translation
"My Lord!
Bestow on them (on both my parents)
Your Mercy
even as they cherished me in childhood."
( The Noble Qur'an: Surah-17 ~ Ayah-24 )
(Aameen)
Imam Bukhari writes that:
Prophet Muhammad [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] has said,
The status of the deceased is raised (during their time in the grave),
and the deceased ask Allah (Almighty.) why has this happened,
Allah (Almighty.) replies that your son has prayed for your forgiveness.
