A'isha Radi allaho anho , the Mother of the Believers (Allah be pleased with her), reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to observe fasts (so conti- nuously) that we said that he would not break, and did not observe (them) till we said that he would not fast: and I did not see the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) completing the fast of a month, but that of Ramadan, and I did not see him fasting more in any other month than that of Sha'ban.
Sahih Muslim Book 006, Number 2580:
Abu Sa'id al Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger Sallallaho Alaihey wasallam as saying: Every servant of Allah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah, Allah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance. Sahih Muslim Book 006, Number 2570:
Imran b. Husain (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) having said to him or to someone else: Did you fast in the middle of Shaban? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: If you did not observe fast, then you should observe fast for two days.
Sahih Muslim Book #006, Hadith #2607
Imran b. Husain (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Apostle (way peace heupon him) said. to a person: Did you observe any fast in the middle of this month (Sha'ban)? He said: No. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Fast for two days instead of (one fast) when you have completed (fasts of) Ramadan.

 Urdu Translation : Aayesha radi allaho anha se rivayat hai ki unhoney farmaya Rasoollallah Sallallaho alaihey wasallam yahan tak rozey rakhtey they ki hum kahtey they ki Ab iftaar nahi karengey aur iftaar yahan tak kartey they ki hum kahtey they ab roza na rakhnegey aur mainey purey mahiney ke rozey rahtey hute unhey kabhi nahi dekha siwa Ramadhan ke aur kisi mahiney mein Sha’ban se jiyada Rozey rakhtey nahi dekha Sahih Muslim , 2721 Umar bin hussain se rivayat hai ki Nabee sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne ek shakhsh se farmaya ki tumne is mahiney ke aakhir mein ( ya beech mein) rozey rakhey(yani shaban mein) isney kaha nahi to Aap sallallaho alaihey wasallam ne farmaya tum jab ramdhan ke rozo se farig ho jao to 2 rozey rakh lo iskey ewaz(badle) mein sahih muslim, 2752 English Translation :  Allahumma Salley ala Mohammed Wa Aal-e-Mohammed (Sallallaho Alaihey Wasallam) |
